New Commie Rifle (with pics)

Well I got REAL lucky last week at gun broker. I saw a nice 'like new' Yugo fixed stock AK but being tight on money I decided to throw a 'stupid' bid on it and if I got it great, if not oh well. I threw a $515 max bid on it (it was sitting at $495).

Well I got up the next morning and I'll be damned if I didn't win the thing for $500 but the 'like new' still had to be proven.

Well I got her yesterday and like new is the understatement of the year. It's nicer than my 'new in box' Yugo was when I got it and when I stripped her down and cleaned her it looks like there couldn't have been more than a mag full run through it.

So here's my new gal

Yeah SOMEONE wasn't paying attention to gunbroker that day but I'm damn glad I was. I always like to have two of each, one I put away for a rainy day (or Zombie attack) and one I shoot.

I like the fixed stocks too, we have 2 under folders and they are also a great rifle but there's something about the weight of a fixed stock yugo that makes my heart go pitter patter, especially when you lock in a 40 round mag. Tootie on the other hand prefers the under folders.

I'm thinking about pulling the stock off because it seems to still have a lot of cosmo in it (I can smell) it but I'm not sure I want to fight the cosmo dragon today.
