Re: Wheelguns
Rarely, but sometimes an old Ruger Security Six as a bug.

100% of the time. If I'm going to a fight I'll grab the AR and ammo can.

Re: Wheelguns
I love big bore wheel guns, but I don't carry them...they are fun guns for me.

Re: Wheelguns
I hunt with my revolvers so the have scopes...pretty hard to conceal.
I have carried my 45-70 but still hard to conceal if I'm not wearing a jacket.

Re: Wheelguns
For the past two months, I've parked the XD45 in favor of a Model 36 S&W...Never been much of a wheelgun guy, but it is so nice to carry and conceal, that I can't seem to put it away. Xtra speedloader in pocket not a problem either.

Re: Wheelguns
At least 5 days out of the week I'll have my 642 with me.
It's too easy not to carry it.

Re: Wheelguns
Ruger sp101 2 1/4" in a Smartcarry holster. I carry it loaded with Buffalobore "heavy .357mag" with the 158gr Goldots. I've chronoed this load out of my sp 101 at 1300fps.
The little wheelgun is cool for when I don't want to wear a belt holster......although my favorite carry piece is a Glock 32.
Oh...for those that like bigger revolvers.....the above mentioned load will come out of a 4" barrel at around 1500fps.
Doubletap also makes a nice .357mag loading & both companies have loadings in .38 & .38+P. These are worth looking at if you pack a revolver.Last edited by reverserboy; December 7th, 2007 at 12:51 PM.
