Chinese 7.62x39 headstamp 946/79: what to do with it?
I found a case of this 7.62x39 in my basement. High and dry. My research says it's Chinese from 1979. I'm pretty sure it's corrosive but would like confirmation if anyone knows otherwise. Should I just shoot it up and clean the barrel well? Save it for SHTF? Is it in anyway special? It's in a plain cardboard box. I must have ordered online over a decade ago.
The only gun control I believe in is using two hands.

I have a few sealed tins of that but enough other stuff ( non corrosive), I'll likely just keep it and let my kids get rid of it.
I have a couple Sks's and a Chicom AK but can't see irons so dont shoot them much.
I;m guessing the Russian SKS and Chinese AK have increased in value since i got them.
If your stuff isn't in sealed cans, I'd just shoot it.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Treat all old combloc ammo as corrosive (hot soapy water, then oil) if its unmarked boxes just shoot it.

Is it copper washed? Do you have any pictures of the individual boxes?
