Look for a new push for more gun control. One gun a month, local towns and cities allowed to have their own laws, etc.

The info that I saw showed that the republicans retained the senate but lost the house by 4 votes, with 7 independants/other parties.

I wouldn't say that the sky is falling just yet. As several of those dems are surely smart enough to remember who elected them and they're not all antigun.

I have been telling everyone to buy what they want NOW. I am hoping that I am wrong, but it does not appear that I am incorrect. I just hope that for most of us we still have til 2008.

I would hope that the rural dems are more conservative then the city dems.

This is the trap that this country has falen into. We should not have to worry about constitutional right with change of power. Thats why the constitution was formed. It shows you that both parties ignor the constitution. I vote rep because I hate the radical left wing thinking. But I am not 100% happy with the repubs. This is total BS that we have to walk on eggs everytime an election occurs. This also is an indication of how this great nation is slipping. This does not just pertain to guns either. I always said guns are a great indicator on what is going on in society. Somewhat of a litmus test.

Lets hope the new powers see some sort of rational thinking. I hope they also realize they can be voted out if they do the wrong thing.

I definitely think that we will be ok on a state level. It would have been nice to oust Rendell, but I don't think there is any danger in losing any 2A rights on the state front.

What I am most concerned about is the political coup that ushered in liberal control to the National Representation. Many states, including ours, voted in democrats that were socially conservative. Casey claims to be against *most* gun control, and agrees with many other conservative social issues. What people do not realize, is that by electing democrats, the positions of control are handed over to ultra liberals.

The Speaker of the House.. the third person in line for the PRESIDENCY... is an ULTRA liberal democrat from SAN FRANSISCO by the name of Nancy Pelosi. Frankly this scares the hell out of me.

Our country is in danger of taking a drastic turn toward socialism. Today is a very dark day indeed.

Look at this in a positive light. The dems have 2 years to screw things up. Then everyone who jumped ship in this election, statewide and nationally, will be crawling back. Hillary won't have a chance in hell!! I see this as a typical move after 6 years. But it's pretty sad when people vote against a candidate, rather than for a particular candidate.

We are very much in trouble on the federal level if both Virginia and Montana end up going to the Dems. If that were to happen we could see Kerry or Kennedy Heading the Senate Judiciary committee and would definitely see them heading various subcommittees. We would not see any more Constitutionalist judical candidates going through without them being put to the Kerry Second Amendment litmus test. Kennedy's "cop killer" bullet ban would get attached to something that the President absolutely needed to sign. I'll say it now, this could get VERY ugly. I'll also parrot Aubie, if you want something get it now, because we could see Brady part 2 attached to something important like national defense.
