Think next time you Google ...
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle5488934.ece
I read somewhere that each Google search consumes enough electrical energy to heat up an average tea pot full of water.
I can just see it now: rickshaws all over the East, off of their wheels, hooked up to a belt system to pump power into the Google grid. Imagine having to create the energy yourself necessary to fuel one of your search engine forays?

That's not just power used in the search, that's aggregate power used by the company. It includes their Death Star.

I don't buy it...
but I guess if we all donated some money to Al Gore then it would be okay to do searches if we want to right? The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: Think next time you Google ...
So if we didnt do these searches how much power would google use just sitting idle. You have to factor this in then subtract it from the actual amount of power they use and divide by Pi.
Besides, no one boils a whole pot of water for one cup of tea.....
Only fags and Europeans drink tea anyway. Oops, that was redundant.
