When do they announce the regular season MVP. Be nice if Malkin brought that to PA as well.

It was a great series, all seven, and even #7 was pushing till the last Minute.

    Great Job Penguins!

After the Pens won their first cup, ('91), we decided to go to the airport to welcome the team home. Left our place about 1AM and by the time we got near the airport, it was gridlocked with cars. We wound up parking in the median on the highway and partying with thousands of other fans that showed up but couldn't get near the airport. Never did see the team, or the buses carrying the team. Did see the pandemonium on the news the next day. If I remember correctly, some guy fell and died at the airport that night.

I didn't see any reports of fans showing up last night (this morning) at the airport to welcome the team. Maybe they just decided to burn couches in Oakland???

Yay! Once again, the city of Detroit is spared from the ravages of post-victory arson sprees.
