Introducing myself, gun noob, Howdy!
Hey everybody! I've come across this site multiple times educating myself on firearms and figured it's about time to just register and get it over with.
Anyway, I'm 20 and a Philadelphia resident currently away at college but I have been researching handguns for the past year and on my 21st birthday am buying my first pistol
. I have it narrowed down the the m1911 or a glock 23. I'll own both one day anyway but I can only have one for a while so what are your suggestions? I'm leaning more toward the glock though.
I've only fired one weapon and it was an AR-15 rifle, loved it, went away to school, been thinking about buying a gun since I left the range that day.
That's all for now I guess, I'll probably become a regular here but this site has already answered some of my questions while I lurked, good group of people you have here.

The reason I actually went shooting in the first place that one day is because I'm trying to earn a commission in the Marines as an officer, figured I'd see if I can even shoot a gun first, loved it.

I am sure it's already on the boards but IWB holsters? What do you use? I like the crossbreed, read reviews, any good?

I don't get it..
I know a couple conceal carry handgun owners in Philly. I'll be carrying in Philly btw.
