    Default FOR ANYONE SHOOTING IN MARYLAND

    Maryland hearing on a COMPLETE BAN on all mags greater than 10 rounds, effective June 1, 2011 set for 2/10/11 in Annapolis. No grandfathering. Covers handguns as well. I guess the legal beagles will need to opine how this may affect interstate transportation, if at all.

    I thought that was a made up thing to get people attention on the issue and it's not yet passed.

    Any link to actual passage to back this up?

    Would suck for me, I have to travel through there. The most conservative advice is usually to mail your mags to your destination. Well, I'm not mailing my mags for a 15 minute trip. Guess I would have to find 10 round mags.

    Now that I'm done worrying about myself, would certainly suck for MD and would also be an X in the loss column for freedom overall.

    Think it refers to HB 330 /Senate Bill 162;

    http://mlis.state.md.us/google_docs$/2011rs/bills_noln/hb/fhb0330.pdf

    It would forbid any transfer of hi-cap mags already possessed but does not outlaw their possessin by the current owner.

    Last action recorded was 1st reading in House Judiciary on 2/2.

    Jersey's been knocking at our door for quite awhile... If Maryland falls farther, we'll have someone at the front and back doors knocking. And with New York standing on our roof yet...

    ...Not good.
