    Default Question about Kydex.

I'm thinking about getting a JS paddle holster for the M&P.

Problem is I have a universal clipdraw attached to it and it won't fit in the holster withou some forming. Is it possible to heat kydex and "wet form" it around the clip, or do I have to ditch the clip altogether if I'm using kydex.

    Thanks.

It depends, you can use a heat gun (like for paint removal) like I use to make my kydex holsters, but you can end up ruining the holster and some holsters are done with little to no room to spare, so you might lose the fit of it if you alter it to fit your clipdraw.

According to my brother, Mike from JS holsters is really accommodating. Is it possible to add a little shim during molding to allow the clip?

Of course it is, it shouldn't be too difficult...unless the holsters are injection molded (doubtful, not many do IM except for the bigger kydex makers).
