How many mags are enough?
I have about 4 to 5 factory hicap mags for each of my full size semi-autos (ie Sig P220/226/229 etc). I use these pistols for target shooting and CCW.
Just curious what the forum members think. Seriously, how many mags are enough? Is the hicap mag ban ever coming back?

Re: How many mags are enough?
I think 4-5 per pistol is enough.
Guns are dangerous, but no guns is more dangerous.

Re: How many mags are enough?
I have 7 for my G19. 3 with defensive rounds and they rest are for the range. Oh and I have a 33 rounder for the we zombie apocalypse. Reloading mags at the range is such a pain. I am going to have alot of 1911 mags when I get one!

At least 10. For my G17's I have over 50 mags and I have 3 G17's.
Mags are about as cheap as they will ever be so I'd suggest you can never have to many but if something were to happen you may not have enough.Today was a good day!

I shoot IDPA. I have 8 for my M&P pro and it just isnt enough. I would love to be able to shoot a match without loading a mag. I have friends that carry 20 mags to matches. I think 10 would be a good round number. I have 4 for my G19 and Sig 220 and only 3 for my G17. Not enough money to go around though.

Re: How many mags are enough?
Much like training and practice, I've never heard anybody complain after some crisis that they had too many mags.
On the other hand, people often have too little training, too little practice, and too few mags.
Buy good quality mags, having a few mags that always work is better than having a trunk load of mags that "usually" work. I'd hate to unexpectedly be the only unarmed guy in the fight because of cheap mag failure.
As for another ban, the Left hasn't given up on gun control, that's why they implemented "Fast & Furious", to create false evidence of American guns flooding Mexican criminal markets. The Left fights dirty, they're willing kill Americans if they can get their way, so you should buy now while things are cheap, while you can buy factory mags for $10 or $20 or $30, instead of triple that if you can find any. Uzi mags are under $10, in 1995 they were $40. AR-15 mags, same thing, you can buy brand new mags for under $10, used for as little as $5, but in 1995 you'd jump on them for $30. Stock up now, it could be a lifetime supply. Don't rely on the fact that imposing gun control is probably political suicide, the enemy is nuts, and may do it anyway.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Seriously, I never stop buying mags or guns for that matter. I have enough mags when I run out of ammo to fill them all at once. Another reason I just bought 2 40mm cans off of thebearpack for storage. Nice place to store full mags.
