Another problem with thread subscriptions
It seems that no matter how hard I try, or what setting I use I am getting messages when someone responds to a thread I have posted in. This was fine when I only looked at one or two, but my blackberry has been going nuts for the past three days! Every few minutes I get another email.
Is there somehing I am missing, or maybe a bug in the forum to allow this to happen?
Luckily they go to my secondary address, but I don;t want to take that one off the blackberry necause I still do use it. My only other option is to make a brand new account just for the forum and keep it seperate.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Brian

Re: Another problem with thread subscriptions
Hey Joe,
Yeah you can turn this off.
The first thing you'll want to do is change your "Default Thread Subscription" options. You can do so by visiting your User Profile Options. Once there go down to the "Messaging and Notifications" section, change your "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to what you want and hit save.
Second, you'll have to unsubscribe from threads you are already subscribed to. To do that you can visit your Subscription List page. Once there you can check the boxes to the right of each thread you are subscribed to, scroll to the bottom and with the select menu to the right of the "Selected Threads:" label you can choose what subscription type you want to change to. Then hit "Go". Unfortunately you'll have to do that for every page of subscribed threads, I am unaware of a way to mass-unsubscribe.
Hope this helps, let me know if it works for you.Dan P, Founder & President, Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association

Re: Another problem with thread subscriptions
Actually I had all this turned off before, and I still got the messages.
I just made a new account for the forum, so that part of it is fixed on my end. Just didn't know if it was a bug or not.
Thanks,
Brian
