Looks like snow tomorrow, anyone going out...
with the flintlock?
I've been waiting for a snow day to hunt in for a long time. I may just get out the smoke pole tomorrow and head out forthe last day of fllintlock season. I would like to use the snow camo poncho I have so I can do some sneaking through the woods. Anyone else thinking of going out?

Re: Looks like snow tomorrow, anyone going out...
i think the last day of the season will find me laying in bed sleeping in.
Everything is a solid sheet of ice out here, the driveways, yards, trees... it hasn't even started melting off the tree's yet and the ground is forzen solid. Its not worth getting hurt trying to get into my stand.
Good luck guys, shoot straightThe first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

I'm stuck working the AM, but I've been juggling tomorrows schedule so hopefully I can sneak out of here around 11AM and get to hunt the last few hours. Good luck to all who make it out!

about five of us are going out early in the special regulation area inside of 202. We still have lots of tags, easier tracking and still hunting in theese conditions.

Re: Looks like snow tomorrow, anyone going out...
I'll be out all day if needed. There is too much snow still on my property where I put my stand this year and the deer aren't moving through there unless someone makes them. I'll likely hit the gamelands 152 where I've been most of this late season.
If it is still snowing in the morning like it is now keeping the frizzen and flash pan dry should be an interesting time."When the winds of change blow hard enough, the most trivial of things can become deadly projectiles." - Unknown.
