Default What is the best deal you ever got on a firearm?

I love finding great deals on guns. It would be fun to hear some stories. I recently purchased a Colt 1903 pocket hammerless in 32acp for $300. It is in like new condition and works like a dream. I figure it is worth at least twice that much. It's one of my favorite carry guns right now. How about you?

Not "my" deal, by a gentleman was shooting his P22 once at our range. Said he got it used (someone bought it, shot it once and didn't like it) for $75 at Tanners. Now THAT'S a deal!

Other then free ones handed down, I recently just picked up a Rem 788 in 243 from a guy who said he didnt like it since the bolt would fly out when he worked it back. I bought it off of him for $60 bucks and bought a $15 bolt stop pin and put in it and the bolt works just fine. It has a cheaper tasco scope on it(which I plan to replace) and shoots great.

I once traded a box of 308 rounds for a Cricket .22 that I then gave to my brother so he could teach my nephew to shoot.

My then future F-i-L gave me a 7-3/8" S&W Model 41 from the early 60s as a "graduation" present from Parris Island. I still have it.
