Transfer Firearm
Ok ill give a quick background and see what you think. My dads girlfriend is a widower, and her husband had a collection of pistols. Apparently after someone dies with pistols the sheriff is supposed to come pick them up. I live in NY by the way. I suggested to her to get a pistol permit and have them tranfered so even if you want to sell them you can. Now if she did do this and I moved to PA is it all possible to have it given to me as a gift or is that a problem becuase of state lines. I hope they get married for 1) becuase I like her and 2) it might make a tranfer or gift easier. Im currently 18 so maybe she could wait til im 21 though that seems like forever. I think I covered everything but let me know if you need more info. So what do you think?

Re: Transfer Firearm
Provided she gets possession of them, yes, they can be gifted to you.
You will need to have them transfered through a PA FFL or sheriff (if your under 21) just like any interstate acquisition.

Re: Transfer Firearm
More info needed. would you both be pa residents? I dont know about her keeping the guns thats ny law (read confusing and idiotic). if you both lived in pa she could give them to your dad and he could give them to you. the step parent thing is confusing. Might be legal might not be depends on what parent is. since your 18 she wouldnt be your legal guardian so hard to tell. maybe someone else knows better.

Re: Transfer Firearm
I believe Patriot ment under 21 transfers. I know there are counties that will not do the transfer. over 18 and under 21 the transfer has to be done at a sheriff, FFl dealers cannot do under 21 transfers.
