She Did It!
First let me say that my wife has always been 100% supportive of my gun ownership and our 2nd amendment. In fact, she insists that I carry everywhere that it is not prohibited. Anyway, today as I was preparing to leave for the range she stops me and askes if she can "tag along?" I told her "hell yes, I was always looking forward to this day!" Her only shooting experiance had been to fire a few rounds from my xd40 about 8 months ago and it was a little too much for her. well, we went to the range today and I rented a 22 for her to try out. SHE LOVED IT! (and hit the target 48 out of 50) Next week she wants to try out a .38 or 9mm and decide which she wants to buy! I knew I had a "keeper!

Re: She Did It!
Your on your way to a new family activity! We go out as a group fairly often. We were hoping to get to Doylestown last week so she could get her first LTCF but got delayed so we'll have to wait for the next opportunity. Right now I'm waiting for her to get out of the shower, we're going to a couple of different gunshops so she can try on a few CC guns. I have 4 daughters who all will be getting a LTCF upon reaching 21. Whether they'll opt to carry is another story but they see the value of the option politically and defensively.

Re: She Did It!
nice. I am working on my GF slow and steady wins the race.
As far as her getting a gun that is grate let her pick something she wants / is confterable with.
then do your best to keep your hands off. Might also want to think about having it put in her name. I am no lawyer but it might be a good idea
Just my uneducated 2 cents.

Re: She Did It!
Sounds like alot of you guys have found some good women!
From my experience, most of the women I've dated or just brough up the idea of shooting with have stated interest in doing so. I haven't meant too many women that were opposed to going shooting with me sometime.

Re: She Did It!
I took my wife to the range yesterday to shoot a 20 gauge double barreled shotgun. It was her first time shooting any gun and we have been married 25 years. She was not put off by it so I might try easing her into trap and skeet.
If I can get her to shoot a 22 handgun we can start to look at a 9 mm and see how much gun she wants to shoot. Funny how all of a sudden more women have taken an interest.

Re: She Did It!
New development, she just printed out her application for her LTCF! I think I am going to be very glad I bought a bigger safe then I needed. But then again, that is a good thing!
