NFA Paperwork Timeline
ok so i posted another thread about a guy who had a auto rifle taken from him by the clearfield county sherrif.... now when inhereting the rifle from a deceased family mamber whats the process that is needed to make suer his ass is covered?? im sure if there are any specfit questions you need to ask i can answer im just not sure exactly what info to put down in this post... the guy moved her from missouri with a job. he has lived here for about 8 months and his brother who owned the rifle died in january. im not sure when he actually recieved the gun but it was willed to him.... is there a time period that you have to do the paperwork and everything?
i should add that he is a current pa resident and has been for 8 months however he doesnt have a pa licence or ltcf at the moment..

He needs to file a Tax Exempt form5 and transfer the weapon . Takes about 3 months. Why did the Sheriff take the rifle. He has no legal ground to do so...
