Somebody "lost" my new revolver
Because none of my local dealers had this in stock, I ordered a new, Ruger GP100, 3" barrel, .357 Mag. Dealer in Oregon sent it via USPS.
Tracking shows it was delivered Thursday.
They have no record of it in the store.
Continuing to work with store and post office to try and figure out what happened.
Dealer I bought it from had it insured enough to cover the full price, so we'll see what happens

Ouch, that sucks. Hopefully it wasn't stolen and just got misplaced in a warehouse somewhere.

Re: Somebody "lost" my new revolver
Hiredgoon, you can send pistols via the united states postal service? Maybe the USPS police x-rayed the package and wanted to see what ya had there. Sucks either way.

Re: Somebody "lost" my new revolver
I wouldn't sweat it too much yet, USPS's tracking is horrible to put it nicely.
I've had the same thing happen, shows delivered and then shows up three days later, yes, with firearms.
Give it til Monday, I'll bet it shows.

Re: Somebody "lost" my new revolver
Yep!
We do lots of online ordering, and lots gets shipped via USPS. We've had packages being mailed to us in Brookville supposedly delivered to Stoystown(100 miles away), Grassflat(60 miles away), and a dozen other places - but were in reality still sitting at our local post office.
Hell, the postal employee in Stoystown even saw on a tracking list the parcel meant for us 100 miles away supposedly delivered in her town - but called my cell to tell us the package never went through her office. ....she remembered me from dropping in while I was engineering a fiber optic cable in that town. (which I thought was quite weird that she would have remembered my name enough 2 years later and having kept my business card)RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515, SteveWag

Re: Somebody "lost" my new revolver
No, the FFL I bought it from in Oregon sent it via USPS to my local FFL.
And it was a revolver, not a pistol LOL!
I dunno, I always figured a revolver is a pistol and a semi-auto handgun is a pistol... but I guess in current terms, only a semi-auto handgun is a pistol
