Default 25 years and finally broke a Dillon!

Never thought I'd see the day....it's going back to customer service tomorrow. I have 5 of these because I'm too damned lazy to switch calibers. I've never seen one inoperable or unable to simply be fixed until today.

    What next? Unicorns?

    P O B,
What model and what broke on it. Many times if it's an easy fix they will just send you the part(s) to fix it yourself.

Cool Re: 25 years and finally broke a Dillon!

XRing- it's a Square Deal- I traded out all appropriate parts and the cases are still getting stuck in the deprime/size station...a first! Different case lots, deprimer stem, sizer tube, shell plate..still happens. I'm dying of curiousity.
I like to buy these after they've been sitting around someone's basement for years and rebuild them. They are incredibly reliable, cheap, and produce darned good ammo....I think I've fixed about every problem possible but this one has me absolutely stumped. I'm four hours into it and I hate to surrender, but...the guys at Dillon will have to tell me what the problem is.

I have an original Square Deal myself and it keeps humming along.

The square deal is the only Dillon that we have ever heard of having trouble. Our friend just sent his back for a overhaul. He said $39.95 with return freight, what a bargain.

Question Re: 25 years and finally broke a Dillon!

Dillon's Warranty is like the IRS tax refund.

The IRS is giving you back YOUR OWN MONEY and people are thrilled at the zero interest loan they gave the Fed.

You paid for that 'new' Square deal SEVERAL TIMES OVER when you bought the first one.

Its funny otherwise intelligent people see warranty's as 'free'. Yeah.. right... its all free.

I have a SDB also (about 19 years old) that other than some of the plastic stuff that I accidentally broke, keeps on going (better than the bunny I think). Dillions' NO BS warranty is tops too. Even though I broke the stuff (the spent primer drop) they have always sent the parts free of any charges. I am now thinking about a second Dillion, leaning towards the RL550.

The Square Deals that seem to have problems are the ones where the owner is always changing calibers. If you tinker enough with anything it will get messed up. No slam at Dillion they are a very good press.
