Anyone have a VZ61 Skorpion?
I find myself attracted to this pistol for some odd reason. I can't think of a real use for it but it is pretty cool. I like unique things.
Anyone have one...or does anyone know any gunshops that have them in stock?

The 32ACP is subsonic already. With a can, it would be the ultimate social purpose instrument. In fact, the ComBloc folks thought so too, that's why they designed and made it. Of course, theirs was full auto, which would have made it infinitely more suitable and loads more fun.

It's not a local shop, but a company called Czechpoint carries them in a variety of configurations. Their website is http://www.czechpoint-usa.com/. I had emailed the company last spring about their VZ 58 rifles and was pretty impressed with their service and knowledge. I never did buy the gun, but the guy I talked to knew the answers to all my questions. Only thing is I don't know how they compare price-wise to other dealers. Looks like Skorpions start at $600 and go up from there, but I have no idea if that's a good price or not...just not a gun I keep track of that often.

I also want a VZ61 but I think when I do, I will SBR it and get the folding stock. Czechpoint will most likely be the place to get it since they have good prices (which INCLUDE shipping and transfer IIRC.) Obviously the SBRing will be extra. Supressing it would also be pretty cool!

Looks like classically they were made in .32 ACP, .380 ACP, and 9x18. I wouldnt mind having one in .32, but would like the price to drop a tad first.

This is gonna be my next thing.
Already got a can, so would just have to have the barrel threaded .
After the SBR crap I'd have to find someone hopefully locally that could make a dovetail cut for the stock.

Re: Anyone have a VZ61 Skorpion?
I have one of these, purchased last year. So far about 500 rounds have been put through her without any problems what so ever.
I've been a big fan of it since I first saw one, and once the Czech made ones hit the market, I found a pistol + hardcase locally. Has ate every type of .32 acp, including some hot self-defense hollow points. The accuracy is extremely good with all types.
I do want to order some spare parts and magazines.

Man, I do want one. What kind of accuracy and range are you getting out of it?

Re: Anyone have a VZ61 Skorpion?
Pretty impressive accuracy. It's a 25 yard pistol time after time, and shoots much better than my full size 9mm's. Hitting a 20 gallon propane tank (already full of holes) wasn't a problem either, even out to 100 yards or so.
It just sucks, the magazine prices and all have skyrocketed since they were released.
