Ground assault on U.S. Why Don't it happen??

Okay gang I've been thinking about all those liberals that fail to see one reason why the United States has never seen in recent years or for that matter in recent history a ground assault on this nation. Stop and think over the years many nations have been invaded by other nations by the use of ground forces. Yet our great nation has not seen such an attempt to control and conquer. Now could this be the simple fact that our nation is an armed nation of civilians above and beyond our military police and other forces. So would it be fair to say if those liberals have their way to maintain gun control and relieve law-abiding citizens of their arms be opening a Pandora's box of the like we've never seen before. This is just something I've been thinking about in the past few days and thought it to be a perfect avenue for discussion. I look forward to hearing everyone's view as I believe this is a worthy topic to cover.

There is a lot of evidence that he never said this quote but I would still think the spirit of it must be a big obstacle for anyone planning to invade the mainland US.

We also have 2 very large bodies of water that make it a bit more difficult. Its much harder to fly everything over or to have troops come over on ships rather than just march to the neighboring country like in europe
