    Unhappy Mourning Monkeys

This story will be featured in this months National Geographic. The picture is of a seventy year old chimp that died of a heart attack. And, was taken at a chimp rescue sanctuary. The chimps are completely silient as one of there own was wheeled by them. They were holding each other hands and had their arms around each others backs. These are animals that are showing compassion and sarrow for a loss of one of there own.

I think this picture says a thousand words.

Animals are a little more "human" than we like to give them credit for. (Or is it that we are a little more "animal" than we allow ourselves to admit?)

Your thread title really had me going there.

    It's "mourning".
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I have problems with "morning monkeys"... Of course, I call them children.

If the scene took place in the AM it would be "Morning Mourning Monkeys"
