Some people should just not be allowed to own animals

I took my wife out to eat in town today and as we were walking back to our car we saw a puppy wandering up towards the road. He was alone and had no collar and it was 11 degrees outside. I walked toward him and he started to back away so I bent down and clapped my hands and called him and he jumped into my arms. He was shivering like a leaf. I carried him up to a couple local businesses and they told me they thought he might belong to someone in the apartments above them but they weren't sure but they has seen him wandering around like I had. The restaurant next to where I found him begged me to take him or call the SPCA because he had been outside without a collar eating garbage out of their dumpster the past three days. I decided to take him home and after we saw how sweet he was I think we may keep him. He and our Shelty get along great and he loves our kids. I just can't imagine who would leave such a sweet dog out to freeze like that.

How could you say no to this face?

Not a bad looking dog. I would guess it might have been one of those Christmas presents. The shelters fill up with them shortly after the holiday season.

I have two Saints. And the cold doesn't bother them in the least.

I'd take him to the vet and see if he has a chip with his info before the kids get to attached.

I doubt a mutt would be chipped..........
