I just realized that I am part of the problem...
I am well stocked on ammo. I shoot mostly 9MM and 22LR. I have no need for additional ammo right now. But I stopped at Gander Mountain this morning and they had 350 round packs of Blazer brass 9mm for sale and I bought a pack. As soon as I got to the car I realized I'm part of the problem. I did not need it yet I bought it anyway. I'll shoot it, but that isn't the point.
On a different note I think that Gander Mountain should get kudos for not price gouging.
I promise to not buy any more ammo unless I NEED it.

Don't knock yourself. It's not like you bought all of it. Or was that the last box.

Gander Mountain has been price gouging since Day 1. No reason for them to raise their prices now that they are in line with the market rates! LOL

You're not part of the problem. Don't feel shame for being a consumer.

I decided to go shoot some trap on Sunday and stopped by my LGS to purchase some Double As in 8 or 9 shot for trap. The shelfs were bare. So, I went to wallys with the same results. I will be shooting trap Sunday, I'll have to reload a case or two either tonight or Saturday in the early am.

Think about the parable of the ant and the grasshopper. It use to be considered good to stock up and prepare.
The Ant and the Grasshopper (Classic Version)In a field one summer's day a Grasshopper was hopping about, chirping and singing to its heart's content. An Ant passed by, bearing along with great toil an ear of corn he was taking to the nest.
"Why not come and chat with me," said the Grasshopper, "instead of toiling and moiling in that way?"
"I am helping to lay up food for the winter," said the Ant, "and recommend you to do the same."
"Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper; we have got plenty of food at present." But the Ant went on its way and continued its toil.
When the winter came the Grasshopper had no food and found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing every day corn and grain from the stores they had collected in the summer. Then the Grasshopper knew:
.......It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.
