Re: Stolen shot gun
The sheriff's office isn't going to help as that's isn't what they do. Your best bet would be to contact the department that arrested the thief.
Go here: https://ujsportal.pacourts.us/DocketSheets/MDJ.aspx
Change the Search Type to Participant and enter the thief's first and last name in the correct boxes. Change the County to Lebanon and the Docket type to Criminal. Hit Search and find the case there. Click on the link on the left for Docket and that will tell you the department and the arresting officer.Rules are written in the stone,

Re: Stolen shot gun
it sounds like a gun was stolen and the person knew who stole it. at some time it was reported to the sheriff who did nothing as it doesn't fall under what sheriffs do.
the person wants the gun back and the thief is in jail for -something-
what is unclear is if the thief was arrested for the theft of the gun or some other crime and whether the gun was seized by LEO or is sitting in the thief's home or has been pawned for cash or traded for black tar.
also unclear is how long it has been since the gun was stolen.
it does need reported to state police. it would help to find out if it is in their custody or in the thief home or elsewhere.Last edited by fallenleader; October 21st, 2019 at 02:50 PM. Reason: wordz
