kel-tec pf-9 purchase
I took the advice of members and bought a pf-9 and I love it. I went to the range and started at 15 yards and my first shot was a bullseye. I was shooting 115 grain Remington's fmj. Yes the light weight gun has a fair kick to it. But it is controllable. my 25 yard shots were grouping around six inches. Thanks for the advice!

Nice shooting. 25 yds with a Kel-Tec pocket pistol is more than you will (hopefully never) need.

Re: kel-tec pf-9 purchase
Any reason you went with the P9??
I'm torn between the P11 or the P9 -- Just not sure what I'm going with until I actually get my hands on them. From what I've been reading the P9's seem to still have teething pains, while the P11 seems to be well proven. But given Kel-Tecs customer service rep, I have no doubt they stand behind their product.
I like the idea of the P9 But, if the P11 isn't too much wider I like the idea of extra 9mm's -- Decisions, decisions. I bought a P3 a few weeks ago and absolutely love it and that's partly what's pushing me to step up too the 9mm.Recoil Happens

I have both, along with a p40, su16 and p3at/p32, sub200 [g22 version] and love them all. The p40 is the problem child due to it's high recoil which puts undue wear on the internals.
Keltec has always been good to me on the customer service front. I recently needed to replace my mag catch and i called rick in the shop and he sent me a new part free and i got it in 2 days. i called him Thursday afternoon and i got the part this morning. I like them plenty.

I read the article on pf-9 In combat handguns and asked questions in this forum. I also like the accessory rail. Plus the price was right.

Re: kel-tec pf-9 purchase
I was in the same position today at Gander Mtn. I looked at the pf9 and the p11 and i ended up with the p11, heres why. The main reason was the extra shots the mag holds. Plus mine came with 2 mags and the pf9 did not. I liked the accessory rail on the pf9 but i thought to myself that im not going to be adding anything to a carry gun. I liked the extension grip on the end of pf9 but you can order that for the p11 for 6 dollars. Also the pf9 was a little to slim for me, i have big hands. The p11 was a bit wider and gave me a better grip. As for quailty i cant really speak of that yet i have olny put 100 rds through it today, but no FTE's or FTF's. my 2 cents.
