Default Funny things you see on TV.

I was watching Criminal Minds last night and at first, I was a little impressed. The killer in this episode was copying other killers. He was using a Charter Arms Bulldog. They referred to it as a .44 caliber. Never called it a .44 Magnum. I was wating for them to make that mistake. They even mentioned that it was a 5 shot. At one point they found revolver shell casings at the crime scene. The cop coorrectly concluded "It's a revovler, they don't eject the casing so he must have reloaded".

Later though, the inverstigator was having nightmares. In the nightmare she kept shooting the bad guy with no effect. She said that the bullets were just bouncing of the guy... they cut to a dream sequence and thery show here shooting, then they show the bad guy laughing at her. They cut to the grounf by his feet and they show the pullets ineffectually falling to the gound. It's the whole cartridge, brass and all. I had a good laugh at that.

Shooting chickens at a bad guy. That's a pretty freaky dream, no wonder she was disturbed.

Chicken guns can cause a lot of damage, whether you use thawed chickens or not.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Terrorists will use these to shoot down planes.

I was watching some cop show a couple weeks ago and the bad guy raises a glock handgun and the sound effect crew dubbed in the unmistakable sound of a cocking hammer. I had a good laugh.

TV shows always have handguns go click-click-click when they are out of bullets... they never lock open.

My wife HATES watching any movie/show that has guns in it with me. I tear them apart. All the usual - 10 shots from a 6 shot revolver, one more round AFTER slide lock, 22s that sound like 44mags, magazine fed full auto that requires no reload after hundreds of rounds, shouldering a muzzle loader sounds like racking the slide on a modern semi-auto pistol, etc.

I think more shows are trying to be as realistic as possible because the writers and producers know that more and more Americans are becoming educated about firearms.
