PA Probation and Parole
Does anyone know which county probation offices are armed and which aren't?
Here's a list of the ones I'm aware of:
Armed - Centre, Juniata, York, Cumberland, Fayette, Dauphin, Fulton, Franklin, Jefferson, Indiana, Lebanon, Lancaster, Blair
Unarmed - Mifflin, Chester, Perry, Montgomery, Huntingdon
Please add any counties not mentioned if you know if they're armed or not.
Thanks

I'm not sure I understand the purpose of making this list?

and a trip to the house of pain.

I'm guessing he is either looking for a job with LEOSA privileges or he is planning to assault his probation officer

Re: PA Probation and Parole
Would you get more accurate information by calling each counties' probation/parole office explain to them what you're doing and ask them directly? All you're going to get from people here for the most part is the random person that you may or may not trust giving you an answer.

Re: PA Probation and Parole
Haha.
I do hope to get into the probation field once my degree is obtained and am actually interning in one of the above-mentioned county probation departments this spring . . . so yes, I guess I am personally interested as well.
Thanks

Re: PA Probation and Parole
Why are some armed and some not?
Is probation a county thing and parole a state thing... or do the county and state each have their own parole and probation??

Re: PA Probation and Parole
Well, if he elicits the same level of suspicion from 67 probation departments that he did from you, he might have a problem with different groups of Death Squads running over each other as they storm his house in the middle of the night.

Re: PA Probation and Parole
I do plan on contacting several offices directly to get other information but I was hoping to find out first who is armed and who is not.
Thanks
