    Default .44 mag Buffalo Bore

    Keystoners:
Is it safe to shoot Buffalo Bore .44 mag, 340 grain ammo, +P+, 1425 fps, through a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag, 7.5 inch barrel? Cabelas' website says ok for Redhawk/Blackhawk, ammo box says ok for Ruger Redhawk and others, but does not list Blackhawk. Just want to be safe... Thanks. Shrubdog.

Buffalo Bore's website lists the Super Blackhawk. Shoot away!

The only thing you'd have to worry about is cylinder length to hold such a long slug. ...the gun is beefy enough for sure.

Be prepared for lots of recoil.
