What's the safe way to sell a firearm to an out of state buyer?
Not sure this is the right place to post this. If not, please move it.
I have a Beretta Tomcat for sale, and a buyer that lives in Michigan is interested. What is the safest way to transfer ownership from me to him? I called the ATF and they said I need to transfer it to a FFL shop near where I live and they'll ship it to an FFL shop where he lives. Then he'll complete the transaction on his side. Do I request payment before I transfer it to my local FFL shop?
Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
