    Unfortunately this only makes clear the obvious:


    Crazy people can be dangerous to others.

    Guns of all types and capacities are very effective tools.

    A gun was needed to end the threat.

    Restrictive laws do not stop criminals from committing crimes.



    It's a shame that based on the amount of people he encountered, it is very likely that at LEAST one of them would have been carrying a weapon to defend themselves with had they been allowed to. Just another instance of unarmed law-abiding citizens being attacked by an armed criminal.
