Default visiting from ga with questions

I will be visiting PA soon and wanted to know the specifics of where I can and cant keep my pistol in my vehicle. I have a GA carry permit and PA honors it. Any information is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Will

    Not quite. See this thread.

From that list, 2a, 2b, 5, 6, and 7 all have potential for problems, even if it's secured in your vehicle.

    thanks for the info.

I talked to the Wv state police and they said I have to separate ammo and gun and put them in the trunk while traveling through Wv so lets hope its a low crime state lol.

Does GA have reciprocity with WV?

Are you asking where in your vehicle, as in what part of your car, may you keep a handgun on a reciprocal license? Independant of where you can go or not go while armed?
    If so, see fingers response.

Or are you asking where you can have a gun in the car as far as locations of the car (not the gun)?
    If so, see Gnbrotz reply

nope. oddly enough on my drive to PA the only state that does honor my permit is PA.

but south/north carolina and virginia have very lax carry laws and just require you to keep it in glove box or plain sight.

WV is more friendly than criminal. I wouldn't worry about WV unless you are in Charleston in a bad section of town, or stumble across a moonshine still or marijuana field someplace else.

Your GA permit/license is good in PA. Just keep away from the places listed as off-limits.

The 1000ft from schools is hard to do sometimes since you dont have a PA LTCF - so dont do anything to get yourself pulled over and if on foot try to avoid them. If you're in a city, schools could be nearby.. Less worries in the rural areas.

You GA license is honored in NC, you can carry concealed while driving through. Glovebox for SC. Plain sight for VA.
