    Default Thompson 1911

Does anyone have any experience with the Thompson 1911's?

I don't have any with the Thompson, But I love the taurus you've seen me carrying me around. You should come over some time, and we can shoot. Or I could head your way, which ever.

One of my first 1911's was an Auto Ordinance model, however it was literally decades ago. I remember it being rather rough in the fitting areas and that I had feeding issues at time with non ball ammos. I don't know how much they have improved since then though.

My brother has one and I love that thing. It's been trouble free for him. I just found one at a local gunshop, the Bull Pup, which is basically a compact version. I'm thinking about doing a layaway on it but since their closing up shop in a couple of months I'm hesitant to muddle up their books if I can't come through.
