    Talking Passed my series 63 tonight!!!

    After a long summer and fall of studying I now have my series 6 and 63 after passing this exam tonight...

    You seem quite happy about this and for that, I'm happy for you. But ummmm.....what's a series 6 and 63? But whatever it is I'm sure you had to work at it and made yourself smarter by doing so.....well done!

    series 6 and 63 allows me to sell securities like mutual funds, or any variable investments.

    Do you get long-term commissions on the MFs? And when you pass off your clients in 20 years does your protege owe you continuing commissions? I know people that have put together fantastic retirements through MF and insurance sales.

    I will now be a financial rep for State Farm and until I have my own agency I will not recieve residuals. I am still contemplating if State Farm will be the place that I make my career at. I am not crazy about being captive and not having more options to offer. State Farm is a fantastic insurance company though...
