Default Shops that take in used guns

Are there shops around Pittsburgh (north, i.e. Butler is preferable) that take in used guns for decent money? Cash would be best, but store credit might work.

Maybe my expectations are too high.

Shops will take your used guns if that are in good shape, but you will receive about half of what you could get for it if you sold it yourself. For example, I sold a Smith and Wesson 3953 (small 9mm auto, double action only, single column mag, stainless) a while back. I shopped it around to a couple of shops (2) and the highest offer I got was 180 USD. At the second shop a woman shopping at the store said "I will give you 350 for it." SOLD.

In short, take some pics of what you have and post them here in the classifieds. You can also take them to just about any gun store and ask what they will give you for them... you will see a difference.

Sportsmans Supply in Butler buys used guns. I know I bought a used Mossberg from them.

well if you look at it from the shops standpoint, they need to be able to buy it cheap enough to be able to turn around and sell it for a profit. other than the goverment i don't know any businesses that can stay in business without turning a profit.
