    Good riddance.

As I understand it, NICS is not applicable to NFA items see 4473 instructions: screen shot

A form 1 completed to manufacture your own SBR doesn't even get a 4473 done on it. Therefore the 88 rule is not applicable and is "sky is falling" bullshit.

I don't know how else to explain this

From the NFA group on reddit:

A number of misconceptions have surfaced since this Pistol Brace news - here’s a list of the most common statements that are believed to be inaccurate with sources that may alleviate your concern:

    88 day background or straight to jail False - SOURCE @ 7:40 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGdj...ature=youtu.be

ATF adding a “Revoke” status to eForm portal SOURCE @ 4:30 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsSz...ature=youtu.be

    Self-incrimination by submitting amnesty F1 Likely False - SOURCE - https://www.reddit.com/r/NFA/comment...tm_name=iossmf

The source is in regard to Federal self-incrimination; Local/State self-incrimination may vary by State and local law. When submitting for an amnesty F1, the ATF has indicated that a photo showing the entire braced firearm is not required - it is generally advised applicants upload a photo limited to the manufacturer markings / serial.

922r compliance or destroy your import if it has a brace False - SOURCE - https://thereload.com/atf-says-impor...hed-next-week/

    I can install a stock the moment I certify an amnesty F1 False - SOURCE - https://www.reddit.com/r/NFA/comment...tm_name=iossmf

NFA owners are prohibited from letting others use their NFA items while supervised, per eForm portal FAQ False - SOURCE - https://bearingarms.com/ryan-petty/2...-owners-n66642

the amnesty stamp is not free - the ATF used the word tax “forbearance” because they will collect $200 in the future for every amnesty F1 you submit Likely False - SOURCE - https://imgur.com/a/o6xWaRq

The Attorney General has authority to temporarily waive this excise tax & the precedence exists

Is there an *agreed upon* date for which the 120 day "amnesty" window begins or began?

It's 120 days from when it's published to the federal registry, which as far as I know, has not happened yet.

and let the lawsuits and requests for injunctions begin, I am curious as to what they are really doing behind our backs because as it stands this has very little chance of truly going through. Between the letters and pretty much everything else set forth previously they have no true leg to stand on. Or maybe that's just me being paranoid again.
