Lets sign up for the hearings
We need to attend these meetings. I am fairly new to the state so I am not sure where they are. I am in for the trip. Anyone else please sign up and we can all meet there or something.

Re: Lets sign up for the hearings
I plan on attending as many of the Philadelphia ones as possible. Unfortunately many of them here are in really out of the way neighborhoods (I don't even recognize some of the street names) and they are all scheduled during the work week during the day (I still have a day job).
I'm definitely at least going to the one at city hall.Dan P, Founder & President, Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association

Re: Lets sign up for the hearings
I just went back to work after a four week lay-off, unfortunately I will not be able to attend.

Re: Lets sign up for the hearings
Every one is a 2 hour drive from here, so I won't be able to make it either.
Everyone however, can contcact their reps and let them know how we feel. I intend to do this, but I live in rural Pa. and I know without a doubt that my state reps are pro-gun so I will be preaching to the choir.
I shoot sporting clays from time to time with Rep. Dick Hess.
If you can make it, GO. If not, hammer our people in HBG!!

Re: Lets sign up for the hearings
They're really restricting who is able to get up and talk. When we tried to get a libertarian party representative to speak, here's what we were told.
E-mail from my LP contact
I spoke to John Ryan. He said written testimony can be submitted, but
he's keeping a tight lock on who gets to speak.
He specifically said that no one will be allowed to read the
Pennsylvania Constitution.

Re: Lets sign up for the hearings
Why bring the State Constitution into this?
they hand picked certain areas to have these little "meetings". I'm quite sure they will be reading pre-written anti gun statements, and answering pre-written anti-gun questions.
If they had these "hearings" in Altoona on a Friday night, half the people would be in the hospital and the other half in jail.
Hammer your State Rep, and let the tards have their little hearings full of sheeple.

Re: Lets sign up for the hearings
Let's face facts here my friends, this was far from an accident. None of the meetings are scheduled anywhere where there is a pro 2A, pro section 21, majority. All seem to be in locations that are not liable to be readily accessible to someone who is pro and all of them are during work hours during the work week so people like us who have full time day jobs can't, or will find it very difficult to, attend. Solid anti planning on this one. I've contacted my rep about the bills, now I plan to contact him about the "statewide meetings," their locations and their timing. He is REALLY going to learn that I intend to be a pro 2A, pro section 21, squeaky wheel.

Re: Lets sign up for the hearings
If you are able to attend one of these hearings, especially if you are able to speak, more power to you and many thanks! The hearing closest to my home was 16 March in Wilkes-Barre, unfortunately the 12" snowfall that day kept me off the roads.
If you can't attend, set your opinions down in writing and send them to the Judiciary Committee. Dan P. has already provided the names and addresses of both the majority and minority committee chairmen send your written testimony to both!
