Default does keeping mags full hurt spring over time?

i have about 8 17 rd mags for my 2 guns. i keep them all full, the last round is ususally a struggle to push in there but i was thinking if its that hard to fit in do u think it will hurt the spring or anything over time? id hate to go to use and and find its stuck or doesnt load the gun right or something. 9mm hollow point ammo.

No. On the other hand not really sure why you would need to keep 8 loaded at all times but too each his own.

no. working the spring back and forth is what breaks down the tension.

Yeah I too always heard it was compression/decompression that wears them out.

as far as having 8 mags loaded, you never know when the zombies will wake...

A properly designed spring wears out through repeated cycling, not from remaining compressed. Look at your car for a perfect example. If remaining compressed killed the springs, it'd be on the pavement.

But hardly an object exists that a man can't make it a little bit cheaper and sell it for a little bit less... That's why it's best to stick with factory or quality aftermarket magazines.
