Default Barf_Light - Coming to a neighborhood near you!

It looks like a big flashlight — but it's really a nonlethal weapon designed to make you sick.

DHS hopes to equip police, Border Patrol agents and National Guardsmen with the barf-beamers by 2010.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”

Hopefully they're reasonably priced. I love flashlight gadgets.

Easily circumvented by a mirror, reflective sheet or some form or filtering (tinted glasses, or mirrored for even more FUN) or avoiding the light...this is just stupid. It's probably handy for torture though.

Plus, I don't think this type of thing needs to be focused, so anyone closing in on the suspect has a chance to be affected by the weapon as well. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not have the guy cuffing me vomit on my back. Give this to some of the run of the mill idiots with badges and let the hilarity ensue I guess.

What a stupid thing to waste billions of our tax dollars on.

It's very innovative, but it can be real messy though!

I think it would be great if they could integrate it into a compact handheld. I think my gladius does a good job of disorienting people, but no one has blown chunks yet.

What's going to be interesting is when criminals or terrorists get their hands on these kinds fo things...imagine the crime that could be done...fortunately, there are some viable countermeasures...but I don't want to have to wear dark glasses and carry a big foil blanket next to my CCW in order to keep from being robbed or assaulted. That's just silly.

i'm sure it takes longer to make you sick than it takes for you to draw and fire.

It probably makes you dizzy before anything, and pretty quickly. Good luck hitting anything.

They use forms of that in Iraq right now for crowd control, this one is just hand held. Look up the Dazzler.

I'm gonna carry one in a shoulder holster and walk Downtown at night, flashing it at gangstaz and video tape them "blowin' chunks, dawg".

Better have a friend that will hold their chains behind their head.
