TSA Finds Gun in Carry On in Pitt Airport. Allowed to keep gun and continue on

I wonder what the fine is. This seems more reasonable than arresting him.



"A 35-year-old man traveling to Minneapolis/​St. Paul brought his security line at Pittsburgh International Airport to a standstill on Sunday after Transportation Safety Administration officers found a .380 handgun and ammunition in his carry-on bag, according to TSA officials and Allegheny County Police.

The man, who was not identified by police, told police officials he did not realize the gun was in his bag as he tried to pass through security about 11 a.m. County police were called to the airport security checkpoint, but after determining the man had a license to carry a concealed weapon, they let him secure his weapon outside the airport and cleared him to travel, according to TSA spokesman Mike McCarthy.

The man will pay a fine to the TSA but will not face any criminal charges, according to county police superintendent Charles Moffatt."
