Single source of ballistics information?
If I wake up today and wonder, what is the dept of penetration achieved for a powrball 38 spl +p round, where would I go?
Other than Google or Yahoo. Just wondered if there was a single collective source for gelatin tests of all ammo?
Thanks,

Re: Single source of ballistics information?
some years ago i stumbled on to federal's site. they at the time anyway, had a download availible. now it's all federal stuff and it does'nt have peneratiion details but it has all the other normal stuff, like drift, drop ft/lbs and speed, and any different ranges.
the best part of it, it's right on my 'puter.
and like i said it was years ago i got my version.it's only metal, we can out think it....

Re: Single source of ballistics information?
Try Google Search: Relative Incapacitating Index, I am trying to remember a
study done by Southwestern Forensic Institute, there is a lot of information
on this subject for you to view. Military, FBI, and other educational research.FUNDAMENTALS

Re: Single source of ballistics information?
hey,
Hornady has what they call a H.I.T.S. calculator and base their information on down range energy and hitting power. The depth of penetration is not there but it will give you an idea about downrange power.
