Our own Arlen Specter
It seems that with our country headed into recession, immigration problems, a war going on in the middle east, not to mention a war on the Second Amendment, the good Senators primary concern is the NFL. It's a goddamned embarrassment to the state of Pennsylvania. I have emailed Arlen Specter, and told him so. There, that feels a little better.

Re: Our own Arlen Specter
Specter's got his knickers in a bunch over how the NFL handled "Spygate". Atleast I think that's his problem. He's an Eagles fan and still pissed that the Eagles lost to the Patriots a few years ago in the Super Bowl.

Re: Our own Arlen Specter
There are quite a few issues that are more important than watching video of the 2008 Super Bowl losers.
The money spent on this "investigation" by Spector could be put to better use in my bank account.

It never ceases to amaze me and how goddamn silly and rediculous some people get about football, or baseball games. Holy Christ, it's a GAAAMEEE!
I never knew our elected officials had SUCH important things to take care of, such as this."A government big enough to give you everything you have, is also big enough to take it all away.

Re: Our own Arlen Specter
Perhaps none of you, other than Eugene, are aware that the NFL gets a special dispensation from the government with regard to their interaction with the unions associated with the league. Because of those dispensations the NFL is not necessarily paying everything that most other corporations pay in the way of taxes etc.. Specter is talking about taking away said dispensations unless they can readily explain their actions regarding the destruction of evidence in an investigation that, from what is being written in various newspapers, could bring into question the true viability of professional sports in general in this country. There are reasons for everything, you may not be interested in professional sports but the vast majority of our fellow citizens seem to.

Re: Our own Arlen Specter
Sooooo....did the Patriots get a subsidy from the government to not win last night because there really isn't any reason why they should have looked that average? Did it have anything to do with the amount of gambling that goes on around the Super Bowl including how long it would take for the broadcasters to mention this year's Super Bowl is the first time in NFL history where an American of African decent was the head official?
