Recommendation for next firearm purchase.

I have 3 firearms right now. A Mossberg 500, Beretta 92FS, and an FN AR15. I usually just shoot my Beretta and AR. The Mossberg is too heavy on the recoil and the cost of slugs add up. I want to purchase either an AK in 7.62x39 or a .22 bolt rifle to shoot in my backyard. I have a backstop with some steel plates don't think it'll penetrate. I just hope the neighbors don't complain, people say the .22 is not loud. I already shoot pellet rifles in my yard. I'm in Beachlake, close to Honesdale. I can't make a decision, need some advise.

I would undoubtedly get the AK - RIGHT NOW.

Or wait and possibly pay $3,000 for a $300 rifle. It all depends on which way the wind blows come election time.

Get the 22 later. 22 bolt actions are not going to go anywhere - they will still cost under $100 for a used one regardless of who gets elected.

I would vote for a good 22LR of some sort, either rifle or pistol. And a case or ammo for it. (after you find out what kind it likes) Second on the list I would suggest a nice revolver in 38 special or 357 with a 4 to 6 inch barrel. Of course if you really want an AK style rifle, now may be the time.

1000 rnds of ammo if you have the cash.
