Default Add Arizona to PA reciprocity list

    From the NRA-ILA email....

ARIZONA/PENNSYLVANIA: Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Agreement Reached Between Arizona and Pennsylvania! This week, the Pennsylvania Attorney General, Tom Corbett (R), reached a reciprocity agreement with the State of Arizona. Arizona and Pennsylvania will now recognize each other's Right-to-Carry permits. Permit holders must comply with the laws of the state in which they are traveling.

Yep this is great news, I'm just waiting for our Attorney General to update their page to say that we honor AZ's permit. I don't like to publish information that I can't cite officially yet, but if they don't update in the next few days I'll do it.

The last few reciprocity agreements did seem to take 1 - 2 weeks to appear on that page, for whatever reason. Maybe they have a web-page contractor who only comes in a couple times a month; could be the AG's office doesn't need a full time webmaster?

ETA:... or not; AZ is up there on the website:

Category 3: Unilateral reciprocity granted by another state for Pennsylvania license holders.

This category encompasses states which allow an individual issued a valid concealed firearm license from Pennsylvania to carry a firearm while in those respective states.

Arizona (Provided that the person issued the Pennsylvania license is not a resident of Arizona)

I read somewhere (probably somewhere on this website) that Pa honors all CCW permits from states that honor ours.

    Anyone know?

Check the PA AG website link above. What you're referring to seems to be "Category 2.

Looks like AZ is in fact up on that page - see "Category 3."

Only in a vehicle. The AG is allowed to validate any state's license at his discrepancy without an agreement. Even if the other state honors ours, our AG still has to decide whether to honor theirs.

Ok. So the current upgrade is no big deal for PA residents -- we were able to carry in AZ all this time, then. The upgrade only matters to visiting AZ people.

    Correct.

AZ honors all permits/licenses due to a law they passed last year or the year before. ...except, AZ residents are required to have a AZ license.
