410 reloading
i'm looking for a little help from someone who have reloaded 410. i have reloaded alot of pistol and rifle ammo, but not shot shells before. are they any big thing i need to be aware of, whats a good shot loader and other reloading gear to have on hand. thax for any help

Go for something that sizes the brass, such as a MEC Grabber. .410 are quite expensive to buy but cheap to reload...the biggest issue is that the hulls don't last for a bunch of loadings like 12 or 20 ga hulls will. Also, component selection and what brand of hulls you use is much less forgiving than the larger gauges.

MEC JR is good and it does every thing you need. You will need to make sure the press is a 2 1/2 or 3in press. Lyman makes a good manual for shotshell reloading. Read the book before you start. I had 25 years of reloading in before I tried shot shell and found I had to change some of my thinking, not a lot, but some.
