I found this thread this morning on one of the car forums I frequent (car guy first, gun guy second

) and I figured I would share a couple links with everyone regarding this awesome story about a terminally ill young man and his dream car. When I read this story it reminded me of how the PAFOA community has been organizing and and gathering to support Meleanie's children and family in memory of her.

Take a few minutes and take a look at a couple of the links, the news article is particularly well written and the website has a lot of pictures that speak for themselves when a young man sees his dream come true.

It's a day late but I am thankful for people like Sgt. Andrew Weigle (of PA) who got the ball rolling on Tyler's car and for those on this website that I have had the joy of meeting in the past couple months and have organized events and support in remembrance of Meleanie.

it's wonderful to see people coming together for a noble cause. it truly shows that there are still decent people left in the world. the saddest part of the story for me was that his dream car is a fiero

Gotta love Fieros but hey... Don't those things catch fire?

The important part of this story was this young man's dream regardless of what kind of car it was, but I know you realize that.

It's great to see that there are other virtual communities out there that share the same bond we have here. What a great story coming out of a horrible situation!

The guys over at RX7Club.com did something similar for one of their members years ago. Sadly he passed away before the car was finished; but it was good to see strangers coming together to help their fellow human being.
