I mean the same guy has sold me four of the five and he still has no clue who I am. My name is not typical and honestly most people remember it. Whatever, since that point means nothing here

I found the new colt AR in 22Lr at over $640 where just down the road is was $500 so even though they have respectable services as mentioned this is just a rediculous price.

I've paid there prices for new firearms but have since learned my lesson so I go to look now but buy elsewhere.

Sad to badmouth that place being its so nice but it is what it is. I'll buy elsewhere.

Just my $0.02. take it or leave it.
Don't forget, the owner was on Safe-York, and showed his anti-OC colors.....

Sorry to take so long to get back into the conversation:

I like the idea of a rating system, though it has to be said out loud that it by any standard will be a bit arbitrary on some things like customer service:

I agree we definately could use information on things like pricing, gunsmith services, reloading supplies, etc...

I'm still waiting for curmudgeon to chime in, as well as what you just wrote.

I want to know more about this.

I tried to find a copy of it online, but failed.
I'm not really tech savvy, so that might have been a factor.
I watched the episode, and he did come across as anti-OC.

I've yet to have a conversation with the owner. As I discover new, less-expensive places to do business, I spend less time at Freedom Armory.

I have OC'd in that shop every time I went, often looking at holsters and pulling the XD out to check for fit, with no less than 4 different sales folks, so it's not like no one notices. I just can't account for the apparent acceptance of my OC in the face of so many claims that he is anti-OC. It's not just fingers saying it, others have said so as well.

I like the place, and I think they run a pretty tight operation, but like others have said, much of their pricing is hard to live with. Anything I see at FA I can get almost anywhere else substantially cheaper. This alone is enough to keep me away.

Unless their pricing scheme changes for the better, it will continue to be a place where I will browse, but usually not make a purchase.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Curmudgeon is on the left.... so does he look like a Constable or what?

And I didn't notice the belt either but I know its a very underestimated item and often overlooked. I am actually wearing through a 5.11 belt and need to look into the warrantee to see their policy is.

Stonybrook Shooting Supply on East Market street has better prices, nicer people, but not as great of a selection, though it is improving.

Surprised Lyman's on East Prospect hasn't been mentioned yet. They rank quite high on my list of places to shop...

    Best,

I personally Go to Stonybrook shooting supplies for most of my guns, Been dealing with him and his dad for years. And was always taken care of me. if I had an issue with one of their prices they would always work with me on it.
