Makes perfect sense to me. DC - thanks for reviewing it again for me.

OR... perhaps this whole situation has a history that pre-dates your time here, a history that just might explain his reaction.

Unless of course you too have a history here, and would like to share your other usernames with the rest of the class?

I have either met DC Dalton and Rich Warner personally, or I have read extensively their participation on this forum and I know I can vouch for their respective character and ethics.

You? Not so much. All I know about you is through your ability to take a single phrase out of context and attempt to troll and flame-bait with it.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your participation and vast contribution to our online community.

As my father was fond of saying at a time like this, "Stop back again sometime when you can't stay so long".

It looked more like a case of "didn't have his facts straight before he passed judgement on the store owner" than "an opinion".

    But that's just my opinion.

By the way, welcome to the PAFOA forums
    Take care

Warner, if I was your customer and had a similar happening to the OP's I would say yes, that is poor customer service. Leave a note on the door or make yourself available somehow.

Obviously I don't know all the details but if you don't know what or how many guns you have on consignment and for how long they have been there, maybe selling ammo is a better business for you to get into.

After all that has gone on with this situation, after everything that was said on just one post (for example) you attempt to (mis)characterize Rich's response by pulling a single phrase *out of context* in an attempt at a straw man.

    Here, let me help you...

Fallacy of quoting out of context
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Jump to: navigation, search

The practice of quoting out of context, sometimes referred to as "contextomy" or "quote mining", is a logical fallacy and type of false attribution in which a passage is removed from its surrounding matter in such a way as to distort its intended meaning.[1]

Arguments based on this fallacy typically take two forms. As a straw man argument, which is frequently found in politics, it involves quoting an opponent out of context in order to misrepresent their position (typically to make it seem more simplistic or extreme) in order to make it easier to refute. As an appeal to authority, it involves quoting an authority on the subject out of context, in order to misrepresent that authority as supporting some position.[2]
^from Wikipedia, so even you ought to be able to find it.

I guess I can accept that this whole "context" thing is a very difficult and intellectual concept to grasp. Maybe you should go ask your mom.

Lesson: Never sell a gun on consignment. Never leave a gun to be fixed.

Either you are a mind reader or exhibit common sense!

I agree with Spishack357. What effort does it take to leave some sort of contact info on the door?

Honestly Rich is not a hard guy to find, He is at every gun show I go to. And he practically knows all the other dealers there. So asking around would surely help in locating him.

My understanding from an earlier post.

The property was "rented" and is now under control of the landlord. So, whatever sign ornotice Warners would of put on the door, The landlord is within his right to remove.
Wouldn't you like to know what's in my safe.
