I think it was fumbled in the sense that it may have been handled with an overabundance of caution. I still disagree that there's any dark conspiracy here concerning motive.

You engage until the threat is no longer dangerous. If hes on his feet he's dangerous. If you've never taken a buttstroke or a simulated butt stroke it does a number on taking that fight out of you. From that nice line across the nose it sure looks like a buttstroke to me. And since I'm sure its questioned the smash follows the butt stroke that probably left that line.

I was hoping that his nose connected with a trooper's elbow. If I witnessed it, I would swear on a stack of bibles that it never happened.

Tradition when a LEO is killed. His cuffs and frein was probably driven to and processed at the shot LEO barracks. Kind of like his last arrest.

For our system of justice, that is correct. Like most other things where our rights are concerned, none of us are under any obligation to respect that as individuals. He's guilty as sin and I hope I have the pleasure of learning of his death.
