Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
I found a single 100rd box of federal .223 at Montoursville Walmart and bought it. Had a slight problem at the register when the dope tried to tell me a LTCF is not a valid ID card but thats for another f#$*ing walmart thread that I'm not going to start.
Anyway, they had a metric ass ton of all kinds of hunting rifle calibers, no bulk .22 except for 325rd box of Federal Target for $14. On the good side, IDPAsharpshooter and I met JLR666 in the electronics department!

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
THANK YOU.
I read this at 11:30 pm and was out the door!
That really was the most 9mm WWB I've seen in a LONG time, and as of midnight, there were 12 boxes of WWB and 1, 50 rd box of Blazer 9mm left.
Best part was the complete ease of purchasing it even without a "sporting goods" cashier. I saw a young guy stocking/unloading boxes and asked if he could page a manager since I "needed someone w/a key to get some ammo". "Sure, no problem, I'll be right back with the key" he said.
He opened it up, gave me what I wanted, and told me I could pay at the front. (I've always had to pay in the SG dept)
We chatted briefly about handguns and I wrote down the forum web address for him. I also listened patiently, as the older W-mart guy(who stopped to talk as he was passing through)was telling him about how superior the .45 round is - about how "If it nicks you, you're going down".
I hope the kid will come here to learn more, because the "advice" he was getting from the other guy was just plain garbage.
Oh yeah, when I paid up front along with the bread and milk I picked up, there was no questions about "age" or "Is this for a handgun or rifle?"
Anyway, back to the ammo...
The only other handgun ammo they had was .44 Rem and one large box of .357 mag Semi Jacketed Hollow Points.
No .22 bulk whatsoever.
One 20(?) round box of 7.62x39 ($14)
Happy hunting.Last edited by Emptymag; June 1st, 2009 at 08:00 AM.

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
Couldn't agree more- that's the most pleasant Wal-Mart ammo experience I've had in a while. Usually (i.e. at century III), I have to show ID and answer all kinds of interesting questions. Usually by the end of it, I want to ask whether the cashier's going to write my biography.
Glad you were able to get some.VMJade
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
Please Note: The poster was issued an infraction for this post.
Still no 9mm, 45, 357, 223 or 7.62x39 in Sayre.
It's strange that the places with good ammo are around Philthydephia.
Maybe Hussain is looking to make sure his new black panther allies are geared up for operations.Last edited by Flogger; June 1st, 2009 at 10:03 AM.

Infraction issued to Flogger, there's no need for this.
