It's not paranoia but are you paranoid enough.

Many moons ago I was working for a trash company and they sent me to Bear Delaware for a few new stops, that would eventually end up being a new route with lots of stops. I had my carry gun on me with no way to stash it so I went with it. The truck I was driving was new and didn't have a license plate yet, it had a piece of paper showing current registration info stickied to the front windshield.

On the way back to PA via I-495 a Delaware trooper pulled along side and motioned to follow him off at the next exit. Once there he and a DOT van did a DOT stop on me, pulled over because of lack of a plate on the rear. Showed him the paper on the windshield gave him all of my info. I stayed in the truck the whole time, my gun concealed on my hip. He motioned for me to come to his car window and I was sweating bullets, pun intended, hoping "concealed means concealed" the entire time. I stood with my strong side away from him got my papers while he complained about the stupidity of PA and the paper on the windshield. Everything was in order so he sent me on my way.

When I got home from work I looked into getting my Utah license. Had the Utah ever since. Good thing too, for the last few years I've lived a little over a mile from Delaware and find myself in Delaware quite often buying goods and gas, which is 30 cents a gallon cheaper.

I EDC a G43 appendix, every day, all day. It’s usually still on me when I call it a night and head upstairs to shower and go to bed. Not because of paranoia, but just because I’m so used to wearing it that I forget it’s there. Plus if I remove it, my belt feels too lose and the next notch is too tight for my liking.

My struggle is remembering NOT to wear it if I know my day will involve traveling to NJ for work or an event at a school on the weekend

I’m certainly not going to give them $900 that amounts to a toll to drive 12 miles each way on an interstate highway
That's your right, and if that makes your life simpler, I'd likely do the same

If I didn't need to drive thru MD I would not have gotten mine

But rather than bitch about it, I did what I needed to do, to make my life easier

It really wasn't that big of a deal

I do laugh when I hear some folks mad about needing to shoot.

If their skills are lacking so badly that they are incapable of shooting a simple qualification course, perhaps they shouldn't be carrying a handgun

I had a pen gun, should have never sold it.
Utah does NOT require anyone to shoot

FL is the one who requires a shooting session for their permit.

I’m not bitching about it, I was just warning the OP to be cautious of going thru MD because PA shares data with MD and MD enjoys targeting PA plates on that 12 mile stretch

Florida and SC were always weird ones IMO, yet I’m used to PA law which many people from other states find confusing
